Continuing Education

The organization is involved in promoting the education and training of individuals interested in the field of government finance accounting. Each year, GFOAA provides a minimum of 48 continuing education credits.

GFOAA Annual Conference

The annual conference is held during the first quarter of each calendar year. Technical sessions and national updates are presented on many current issues facing individuals in the government finance field. Participants receive 16 hours of continuing education credits.

GFOAA Summer Workshop

Each August, GFOAA sponsors a summer workshop. The workshop covers current issues in government finance and related topics. Participants receive 16 hours of continuing education credits.

Governmental Accounting and Auditing Forum

GFOAA is privileged to join forces with the Alabama Society of CPA's and the Association of Governmental Accountants, Montgomery Chapter, in sponsoring the annual two-day forum. The seminar addresses current accounting, auditing, financial management and human resource issues. Participants receive 16 hours of continuing education credits.
